Barbados Endangered Turtle Stamp Series
The Endangered Turtle stamp series – with illustrations by Ken Dewar – highlights four sea turtles species. This series was the first stamps ever to be printed using a patented MFX silver ink technology. When the stamp is shifted in the light, the turtle names will 'disappear' which acts as a metaphor for what is happening to the turtles in nature. It also became part of the many security features incorporated into the stamp both graphically and in the printing process.
